Baseball has a rich history in the city of Fort Wayne. Our community held the first professional baseball game, hosted Babe Ruth, and welcomed the Tincaps. When the Chiefs left Fort Wayne in the 1930’s, the city went without baseball for nearly sixty years, until minor league baseball took an increase in popularity in the 90’s.
On April 19, 1993, the Wizards had their opening night, bringing baseball back to our community. After a successful entrance into the city, the Wizards changed their name to the Tincaps in 2008, to accommodate the change of their new stadium. The Tincaps have several home games coming up and provide a great environment for all ages!
