Happy International Human Rights Day! This year’s theme is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All.” Human Rights are the rights we have for existing as equal human beings. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, or UDHR, has brought awareness to many human rights struggles and helped inspire people to take action. While the UDHR has advanced human rights, the progress does not mean the fight for rights and equality ever ends. You can promote human rights by researching related issues, donating to organizations, connecting to human rights movements, and voting in every election.
