As we welcome Spring and its much-anticipated flowering, Kelley Automotive has some new things popping as well!
Effective April 1, 2023:
Kelley Automotive is pleased to announce a new and improved Tattoo Policy! We understand the necessity of changing with the times and embracing what makes sense for our Company. The Executive Team has received feedback, through our Part C’s and the Intranet Suggestion Boxes, that our Tattoo Policy could use a refresh. We are always listening! As always, our goals are to provide an amazing place to work, and to offer a stellar buying experience for our customers. It is our belief that this new policy accomplishes both! In short, tattoos on the arms, hands, legs and feet can now be displayed, as long as their content is not explicit, obscene or offensive to anyone.
The full policy is set forth below and will be printed in the Handbook relaunch in May 2023.
Tattoo Guidelines
- Tattoos may be visible on an employee’s arms, hands, legs, and feet. Tattoos on all other parts of the body must be covered, including, but not limited to, head, neck, face, ears, back, chest, and shoulders.
- A professional appearance is always required. No explicit, obscene, or offensive tattoos will be allowed by any employee, regardless of placement on the body. Words and images that may offend any reasonable person are prohibited.
- Any team member who interacts with a customer, on any level, must consider and be aware of the impact tattoo exposure may have, positively or negatively, on that relationship. You should govern your tattoo exposure accordingly.
- If the Company receives complaints regarding any tattoo of any nature from a vendor, customer or co-worker, appropriate action in accordance with all Company policies governing these interactions will be taken, including requiring the employee to cover the tattoo. The Company reserves its rights to legally protect its team members from any type of harassment, from any source.
Stay tuned for more good news coming all month long!
