In 2023, the Women’s Fund of Fort Wayne discovered only 38% of leadership positions were held by women. To help address this barrier, the Women’s Fund partnered with the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne to relaunch Take Your Daughter to Work Day as Take a Girl to Work Day. This allowed young girls to spend a morning with women in leadership roles at various companies throughout Fort Wayne: Kelley Automotive, Allen County Bar Association, Chase Bank, Allen County Government, Design Collaborative, Ferguson Advertising, Fort Wayne Metals, and Katz Sapper & Miller.
Kelley had the opportunity to host 6th graders from Woodside Middle School. The group met with a panel of some of our very own female leaders (Stephanie Hartman, Monica Senk, Jen Jackson, Ashley Luginbill, and Mary Lynn Hamrick) to discuss their career paths, educational background, and Kelley Automotive. The group also received a tour of Buick GMC where they explored the different departments and positions that make up the dealership. Thank you to everyone who participated in this successful event!
