Effective June 1, Kelley Automotive Group began rolling out the Wash Kelley Renewal Program. With this comes a lot of changes, some of which can be confusing to both customers and employees alike.  To combat this, I’d like to share a few resources to help clear up some questions.

Conversions vs. Renewals
The renewal program is separate from the conversions program. I have attached a one-pager to help highlight those differences along with a video tutorial (below). Sticker conversions are still very much necessary and will continue until all of the old, barcoded stickers have been replaced. Old stickers are not permitted to enter the carwash with no exceptions. Conversions will continue to be completed at the dealership, and not on-site at the car wash, to guarantee CDK records are referenced prior to a customer receiving their new, RFID sticker.

Renewals

Renewals is an annual requirement for all customers to verify the owner of the vehicle is the same customer who purchased the vehicle from Kelley Automotive Group.

How Does It Work?

Upon the purchase of a new or used vehicle from any of our Kelley Automotive Group Dealerships,  a customer account (complete with contact information, vehicle information, and corresponding RFID Sticker) is created in our car wash software, “MicroLogic”. Included in that data is an expiration date, automatically integrated and synced with CDK, pre-programmed for 12 months from the original purchase date of their vehicle. As customers begin to approach their expiration date, Wash Kelley will initiate the Renewal Drip Campaign to inform customers of their upcoming expiration and provide instruction on the renewal process.

One month prior to expiration, customers with a valid email address will receive an email informing them of the renewal process. Customers with a valid mobile number on file will also receive automated text messages 30, 21, 14, and 7 days prior to their expiration date with similar instructions. All Renewal Drip Campaign communication will cease once the customer successfully completes renewal and ownership is confirmed by the Wash Kelley Team. Customers will be required to complete this renewal process annually to continue to receive the Free Kelley Car Wash.

How To Renew?

To complete a renewal, customers are heavily encouraged to utilize our new online renewal platform hosted on WashKelley.com. Doing so is not only convenient, but it eliminates the need for customers to physically come on-site. For those customers who may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the online process, we have outfitted each campus with Renewal Specialists to help facilitate those customers who may not be comfortable or able to complete the renewal form themselves. These specialists are located at each car wash (equipped with iPads) as well as at Renewal Stations at Buick GMC and Chevy.   Visit WashKelley.com for locations and hours.

Customers can renew at any time. Doing so will only extend their package for 12 months from the date the renewal is completed, not their original renewal or purchase date. This can be extremely helpful for households with multiple Kelley Automotive Group vehicles as well as commercial/fleet customers who are looking to coordinate their renewal dates in the future. Should a customer fail to renew their sticker prior to expiration, their vehicle will not be able to utilize any Kelley Car Washes until a renewal is completed and confirmed by the Wash Kelley Team. Please expect the confirmation process to take between 24 and 48 hours to complete as each renewal will be manually confirmed one-by-one.  Once confirmed, the customer will receive a confirmation notice via email informing the recipient that their sticker has successfully renewed.

What’s Next?

As the first few rounds of emails and text messages begin making their way into customers’ inboxes this week, I am asking all Kelley Automotive Group employees to keep an eye out for customers who may need a little guidance or assistance. Please reference this email for any questions that you may come across and direct any further questions to WashKelley.com or our Wash Kelley Hotline at 260-434.4888.

Finally, there will be no exceptions to the Renewal Process. With hundreds of renewals scheduled to occur each week, there is absolutely no bandwidth for short cuts or workarounds. Your adherence to the process as described is appreciated. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding.
