To make the top of the list, a place had to have a good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life. Fort Wayne was ranked #20 in Best Places to Live and #14 in Best Places to Retire!
With a score of 6.6/10, Fort Wayne was selected because of its low cost of living and quiet neighborhoods. Fort Wayne can be a good place to buy a house, start a career, launch a business and raise children. Living in a midsize city in the heart of the Midwest, Fort Wayne residents have access to the amenities one might expect to find in a large metropolis, like entertainment options and a thriving arts scene.
