There have been questions regarding baseball hats at work. To keep it simple, we will consider any hat to be a baseball hat, even a knit cap or other style hat.
The handbook states the following:
EMPLOYEES SHOULD NOT WEAR
- Baseball hats in a dealership showroom or during any customer interaction within any Company building.
We have determined the following exceptions to the Handbook and will allow these employees to wear hats while working:
- Lot Porters
- Shuttle drivers
- Parts drivers
- Parts counter person
- Car wash attendants
- Non-customer facing employees such as detailers and technicians. These jobs are listed by way of example, not as an exhaustive list.
NOTE:
Sales associates and geniuses may wear hats outside, but they must be removed immediately upon entry into a building.
HATS WORN MUST EITHER BE KELLEY/STORE BRANDED OR MANUFACTURER PROVIDED/BRANDED. WINTER HATS CAN BE PLAIN.
NO OTHER HATS ALLOWED.
