National Wear Red Day is Friday, February 7, 2025. Together, we can Go Red to help save more women’s lives. Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women. This February, American Heart Month, the American Heart Association and Go Red for Women wants every woman, parent, friend, and co-worker to be armed with the knowledge, skill and confidence to be ready to save a life. This includes learning CPR because chances are, the life that needs to be saved will be the life of someone you know and love.
American Heart Month was established in 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson. It is recognized by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the American Heart Association. Heart disease affects millions of Americans and is a major public health concern. By raising awareness and promoting heart health, American Heart Month aims to save lives and improve the well-being of the nation.
