The GET GREEN FEST on March 15th is Fort Wayne’s family-friendly St. Patrick’s festival. The event is hosted by the Ft. Wayne Professional Firefighters.
Location: Downtown Fort Wayne: 900 W Main St.
- 5-KILT RUN WALK: The Get Green Fest 5-Kilt Run/Walk is Ft. Wayne’s first organized run/walk of the year. START/FINISH located at 900 West Main. Race starts at 9:30am.
- RIVER GREENING: Mimicking the famous Chicago River Greening, Ft. Wayne Firefighters turn the St. Mary’s River green using eco-friendly vegetable dye. River greening starts at 11:00am at the Main Street (Carole Lombard Memorial) Bridge.
- GOLD COIN DROP: What’s at the end of a FWFD ladder truck? Our very own Leprechaun dropping gold coins for the children to collect. Drop begins at 12:00pm.
- LUCKY CHARMS EATING CONTEST: Age-divisional matches enable both young and old to gobble up Lucky Charms for bragging rights and a trophy. Event starts at 1:00pm.
- HEATED EVENT TENT: Rock the day away while you enjoy delicious food, drinks, kid activities, and fun with friends. Festivities begin at 8:30am and continue until 6:00pm. Music by DJ Jason Spuller from 9:00am-3:00pm.
