Today marks the International Day of Peace and the theme is “End Racism. Build Peace.” The United Nations state that this is a date dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace through a non-violent period of a 24-hour cease-fire, and to address hate speech and promote a message of anti-racism through education. Peace involves understanding each other and working together to find solutions to problems, which is especially important with the hardships that have followed the past few years.
