Childcare can be expensive! Did you know Kelley Automotive offers a benefit that can help you save money on childcare and is available to all benefit eligible employees, not just those enrolled in medical benefits?
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are tax-free accounts that let you save money on qualified expenses.
Dependent Care Assistance Plans (DCAPs) or Dependent Care Accounts (DCAs) allow employees to use tax-free dollars for qualified* care of:
- Children under 13 for babysitting, daycare, or before/after school programs.
- Disabled spouses, parents, or children who live with the employee and require care.
*Qualified care means that your caregiver must be reporting their income made from your for-tax purposes, and they must provide you with their EIN or SSN for your reporting purposes.
Helpful FAQ’s:

- Use it or lose it
- Funds are only available to use after payroll deductions are posted to your account
- Qualifying expenses incurred 1/1/2023 – 12/31/2023
- Submit Claims up to 90 days after the new year
- Receipts must include the dependent’s name, date of service, and charge amount
- Enrollment and Deduction Amounts can only be made during Open Enrollment or Family Status Changes
Use the below steps to begin:
- Sign up during Open Enrollment
- Decide how much to contribute from each paycheck
- Use an FSA debit card or pay with cash/checks and get reimbursements directly to your bank account
- Use the United Member portal or UnifiedGrp Mobile app to track balances, submit claims/receipts, and view reimbursements
